“Acid Rain”

Acid Rain, 1986 (Private Collection)

This is one of my early Abstract Expressive photographs, made when I began experimenting with non-traditional application of darkroom chemicals in the 1980’s.

This image was originally included in an exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.

Description

Abstract Visions in Black and White – Toby Vandenack began experimenting with non-traditional darkroom techniques in the 1980’s which evolved into the Abstract Expressive series. The series explores seen and unseen dimensions within representational and nonrepresentational worlds, often merging both.
