Description

DOOR COUNTY – Toby Vandenack’s roots run deep in Door County, Wisconsin. His paternal great grandparents settled there in the mid-1800’s. Vandenack has been drawing photographic inspiration from the Door County landscape and environs for five-decades; many of his earliest “serious” images were made on the Door peninsula: “My photographs of Paris may be my most popular, but my Door County work is most personal…” Vandenack’s photographs are included in the permanent collection of the Miller Art Museum.
